On the Derby side of the river, a concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Elizabeth Street near Main Street. ‘The Convertibles’ are scheduled to perform.
Food trucks will be on Third Street, according to flyers from the city. Fried dough will be sold at the Elizabeth Street side of the Derby Senior Center.
On the Shelton side of the river, ‘Darik and the Funbags’ are scheduled to perform at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
Again, fireworks are usually set off at approximately 9:30 p.m. (Shelton says 9:20 p.m., Derby says 9:30 p.m.).
